Twenty-seven years ago, Ren Zhen-qiu, a metrology scientist, back in 1975, discovered the special, sudden and dramatic effect of the non-classical Tide-Generating Force Resonance (TGFR). 

The non-classical Tide-Generating Force Resonance (TGRF) refers to another basic natural fact: When the Earth, the Moon, and another celestial body align in a straight line, a special compression or decompression effect occurs in the atmosphere and on the crust in certain areas at certain sublunary angles. This cannot be explained by the classic gravity tide theory and it’s principles. 

In 1982, Ren Zhen-qiu discovered intensity change of tropical cyclones strictly depends on the tide-generating force at the time of new/full Moon (i.e. when the Moon and the Sun align in a straight line with the Earth). 

Their level of statistical significance test is up to 99%. 

Furthermore, at the time when another celestial body (include a planet, or a star of first magnitude, or one of the strongest cosmic radio sources in zodiac) aligns in a straight line and the Moon and the Earth, it has a similar effect.

VRC and VRDC are respectively the vertical compression TGFR and the vertical decompression TGFR; WR is the gravitorational wave resonance; HR is the horizontal TGFR; SR is the standing wave resonance of the Moon. 

When the Sun or another celestial body aligns with the Earth and the Moon, the Tide-generating force is enhanced, and the non-classical TGFR develops. 

In late 1980s, Ren Zhen-qiu discovered that the TGFR is an important triggering factors and can be used in the prediction of both the epicenter location, and well as the occurrence time for violent Earthquakes.

Ren already studied and learnt that total 4 TGFR phenomena existed and acted as an important triggering factor to the disastrous Tangshan Ms7.8 EQ on July 28, 1976. 

In Jan. 2002, Ren Zhen-qiu learn more details about Zhang’s “MS Double Time” Earthquake prediction method, and the 4 sets of “The initiation MS” & “MS to Double Time” corresponding with the Tangshan Ms7.8 EQ.

Ren made careful calculation and discovered: 

The above-mentioned TGFR phenomena occurred on every one of the four sets of the “Initial MS” & “MS to Double Time” corresponding to the disastrous Tangshan Ms7.8 EQ.

Ren stressed that the most middle effecting line of the TGFR at the time of these MS fell exactly on the epicenter location of the Tangshan Ms7.8 EQ.

Other natural phenomena & disasters likely caused by the TGFR effects: 

Killer waves 

Landslides 

Mystery air crashes

Suggestion: 

Due to the effects of the above mentioned TGFR phenomena on sudden dramatic changes of weather, as a triggering factor to EQs, as well as the additional above mentioned other likely natural disaster effects, it is worthwhile to develop Sino-foreign joint research projects with Ren and the “Natural Disaster Prediction Committee” of the China Geophysics Society on the TGFR phenomena.
