ITER Thermal Fusion Project Studies

Advisor Chen I-wan letter to Mr Xu Guan-hua, China Minister of Ministry of Science & Technology (Dec. 15, 2006)

Minister Xu Guan-hua, On Nov. 30, news with title “China international cooperation striving forward with the epoch” was published by the “Science & Technology Daily” on Nov. 30, 2006 which reported: “Nov. 21 (2006) is a day worthwhile for people to remember with great expectation. Xu Guan-hua, Minister of the Ministry of Science & Technology, on behalf of the Chinese government signed the International Thermal Fusion project (ITER) joint implementation agreement and concerned documents, which together with representatives of the European Community, America and other parties initiated the “artificial Sun” project, which hand in hand started the long march to eventually solve the energy problem for mankind. China’s participation to the ITER plan, shows the science and technology strength of our nation is raising”. From the approach of potential harm consequences of the global “energy and environment” problem to continue health and survival of mankind, the author carried out multiple-disciplinary comprehensive studies to the “energy and environment” issue, and based on my studies wrote a comprehensive report in March 2006: “CHINA MUST PROCEED ALONG A NEW ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT DEVELOPMENT ROAD NEVER PROCEEDED BY ANY NATION IN THE WORLD!” ……

Translated by Advisor Chen I-wan:Nature’s comment paper severely criticizes the international thermal fusion energy research project (ITER): “Our emperors have no clothes”!
